Encouring and Motivating Youth Motivational Speaker

Joel Penton is a youth motivational speaker that travels through the United States giving engaging, unique, and overwhelmingly positive school assemblies. Joel is a former football player and graduate from Ohio State University where he was awarded the prestigious Wuerffel Trophy. Joel Penton has, since graduation, followed his passion for community service, his love for inspiring and helping the youth, and his desire to impact the future, and started his career as a youth motivational speaker.

Joel’s school assemblies focus on the power and consequences of making well thought out decisions that have yielded positive and encouraging consequences versus poor decisions that have resulted in negative consequences. This is important as Joel realizes that as a youth motivational speaker it is too easy to share negative experiences that can be misinterpreted by youth as a green light to follow in the footsteps and foibles of the speaker. And when it comes to the youth, the last thing that Joel wants to do is to mislead them into believing that poor decisions can be easily overcome and don’t haunt people for the rest of their lives. He doesn’t want to be a beckon of a cautionary tale, rather an inspiring tale. And this is what ultimately led to his receiving the Wuerffel Trophy.

The Wuerffel Trophy is considered to be the Humanitarian Heisman. Like the Heisman, it is awarded to a collegiate football player that has demonstrated extraordinary skill on the football field. However unlike the Heisman, the Wuerffel is only award to a player that also demonstrates extraordinary public and community service. This is because the awarders of the Wuerffel Trophy, much like Joel Penton, understand that athletes are looked up to, and have a responsibility to represent the best of the sport and of their school and university.

Of the different school assemblies where Joel has presented, he has received favorable feedback. Feedback surveys that he has received have been overwhelmingly positive. Nearly all of these respondents of Joel’s post presentation has indicated that nearly all other schools could benefit from holding a high school assembly with Joel as the primary and keynote speaker.

Stand your ground.  Don't back down.

What does it mean to stand your ground? People today are
constantly making commitments and breaking them.  Look at
divorce rates, credit card debts, New Years's resolutions... and
the list of unfulfilled promises goes on.  It it even possible to
keep our commitments?

Stand your ground,  Don't back down.

Joel Penton says, "Yes it is possible" - he knows from
experience.  Like most of your students, Joel was put into
situations in middle school and high school where it would
have been easy to compromise and break his commitments.
However, he chose to rise above the pressure and keep the
committments he made in school, in football, and in life.

Stand your ground.  Don't back down.

Joe will say that it takes character, it takes will, and the road
will be hard.  But his personal experience is proof that ordinary
people can accomplish great things by simply following through
with the commitments they have made.  Your students will be
inspired and reminded of the importance of not just making
committments, but also keep those commitments.

Don't back down.  Stand your ground.
