Things to Learn from High School Assembly Speakers

Motivational speakers are experts in inspiring change and stimulating their audience to take action. They can talk about almost any topic under the sun, most of which fall under life lessons, decisions, and choices, which are very important to keep in line especially when audiences are young and very impressionable. The best assembly speakers don’t only tell their listeners what not to do, but how they can make the right decisions and live with their choices. With the number of motivational speakers, inspirational lecturers, and companies that offer inspirational programs for the youth, it can be hard to pick the right person and group to allow into your students’ lives.

One of the first things you should remember when considering motivational lecturers to speak in your assembly is that they should be dedicated to imparting positive changes and passionate about inspiring good ideas in children. High school assembly speakers teach and speak about almost every important issue that children and the youth face today, ranging from bullying to abuse, depression, coming of age, violence, spirituality, drug abuse and vices, and many other issues that are relevant to children. Other speakers specialize in career choices and making the right decisions when it comes to choosing a college or a degree, while others specialize in life issues.

When choosing a speaker for your high school assembly, it pays to do an extensive background check on your candidates, especially since they can potentially play a huge role in the livesof your students. Watch their interviews and have a look at their personal websites and maybe watch them in action if they happen to have footages from previous speaking engagements. This will help you gauge the reliability as well as the capabilities, and the passion they have for their craft.

Stand your ground.  Don't back down.

What does it mean to stand your ground? People today are
constantly making commitments and breaking them.  Look at
divorce rates, credit card debts, New Years's resolutions... and
the list of unfulfilled promises goes on.  It it even possible to
keep our commitments?

Stand your ground,  Don't back down.

Joel Penton says, "Yes it is possible" - he knows from
experience.  Like most of your students, Joel was put into
situations in middle school and high school where it would
have been easy to compromise and break his commitments.
However, he chose to rise above the pressure and keep the
committments he made in school, in football, and in life.

Stand your ground.  Don't back down.

Joe will say that it takes character, it takes will, and the road
will be hard.  But his personal experience is proof that ordinary
people can accomplish great things by simply following through
with the commitments they have made.  Your students will be
inspired and reminded of the importance of not just making
committments, but also keep those commitments.

Don't back down.  Stand your ground.
